Rev. Dr.Margaret's Story

very rough draft To be edited Hi All! I remember and think of the gift of all the many and diverse and unique dimensions and foundation that shaped each of us in our own unique ways and as a community of friends , families, , communities that affordedi us timeless memories carefree fun , catch your breath laughter, unpexpeted depths of sorrow , , the joys of healing and marriage and either staying inour hometowns, or moving and returning home. The daily opportunity to learninthrough growing through our many teachers , at school from each other , our parents and each others' parents, our the lessons of sports and coaches and team members , learning work by example growing up on a farm and in a town and being taught to love the environment being so close to the ocean and a in a state of such beauty from east to west. and communities from early chilfhood on and into the new ones each dimesion of growing through the years have constantly shaped my life. Memories of you and those of you I stay in contact with contimue to be a key to the real treasures in one of life's rarest joys. To b To be edited and finished later that have come to fruition ,along with those great milestones of childhood and passed along tnew generashared intergenerationally in our lives, and those invariaviarable off the beaten path reunions with one of you or a family member or a friend from an entirely different venue keeps me in awe of how important our foundation that was being formed continues to always be stronger than I ever realized as years go by and more and more of us end up being a part of each other's lives through mutual friends , organizations , or even have just missed each other by a day or so or share the same friends. It is that rare treasure of foundation that we share and build upon that is a one of the rarest gifts of joy in liife. The gratitude I feel and sense of a sharted journey of many diverse paths that always are rooted in the life of friendships is one of the greatest of life's enduring treasures. Invariably those of us who have not seen have each other for 20 or 30 years invaribly will find each other in the most unexpected ways. Those early foundations of friendship have been ongoing roots of interconnections throughout life , sometimes leading to varied mini reunions of memories by running into those uncanny and unexpected mutual connections, see someone or hear a song, pass through a small town, a huge metropolitan city or see homes or land or places where we lived or gathered , I One of the greatest things I have learned is it takes so little to make us happy. There is nothing greater than meeting with or seeing one of you or remembering you and hearing about your lives and how you are. Always looking forward to the next time If I'm going to work somewhere, I need to have Meditation , Exercise , and Creative thinking to be able to deal with the day-to-day. ld. But a perfect example was in 1st grade when I told her it was dumb to hide under a wooden desk to be protected from a nuclear bomb as we had to practice that day. She said the greatest concern our nation will ever face is what happens inside the heart of leaders and ourselves . Collector as have searched for artifacts since preschool, got into fossils at a job in my 20s where fossils happened to be profuse and began finding gems and Civil War artifacts in the last two years prior to that have found tons of old sea glass. Love dogs have right now my3rdcocka poo and a labradoodlepoo If I could improve my home, I'd remodel The garage and add on a Game room . My dream home would be a simple log house . Best experience was seminary as we spentt 3 years together discussing every angle of life and studies we ate meals together and lived on Mass Ave. in Washington DC.when it snowed we were kids and made a huge human chain with the cafeteria trays and rode like maniacs ...down the hill: a longstanding or sitting tradition. Best experience was of community life as we were a huge family with singles married couples and babies and children living on campus. Our studies were in our deep conversations . I slept in American University's library next to seminary at night til it closed. It was a unique experience! Number 1 priority is being present for my mom. And doing what I always have done in and through my work wherever I am My best friend would tell you I'm quiet , but people who don't know me very well would probably describe me as Talkative. I dress in hiking clothes most of the time . Ironically my job requires certain "regalia" at special events but those with whom I have worked preferred casual . So formal events I dress up and of course for special occasions. I dress in layers always. I share my home with deaf friend and professor , which I find Relaxing and educational. Diplomas In 10 years, I hope to be In Hawaii. I'm going to get there by Job and retirement. I always wanted to be a student when I grew up. My family and friends thought that was a goingstudent going to be idea. As it turns out, they were Right. Meditation Live at the Beach so get to be a Beach Bum Study something new Exercise Have lots of Company community participant Weirdest job?!? Only my colleagues involved can discuss that! My favorite trophies belongs to someone else who who won the senior doubles WD tennis classic. She signed a tennis ball and gave it to me. The other ones were from the Romania Deaf Olympics my housemaster participated in back in the70's sponsored by the USOlympics. My Mother and Father Both taught me from early on the greatest truths of life the are/were right and I try to live and pass along profound truths they taught me from early on as what they taught me has been true of life. Their wisdom at such young ages astounds me to this day. I always wanted to be a Lifelong student when I grew up. My family and friends thought that was a Crazy but natural idea. As it turns out, they were Right.
